Gretchen grew up in Metro Detroit under the watchful eye of her parents and three older brothers. Born just before the World Wide Web launched, she lived most of her childhood without a digital footprint and developed a deep love for books and the worlds they create.
She graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a dream of one day creating a world of her own. And create one she did, in her whimsical debut children’s book, Strong Strings.
Inspired by her pre-digital childhood and the relationship she shared with her grandmother; Gretchen captures the heart of “social networking,” by reminding readers that it’s never too late to form a stronger connection with the people you care about.
